The pieces are selected from Turkey, Hungary, Croatia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Included are fascinating historical notes about the music and descriptions of traditional instruments.

Special playing techniques are explained and performance tips will help players achieve an authentic sound. All this, together with the CDs of demonstration performances and play-along tracks is sure to be inspirational.
