The Kaplan Solutions cello A & D strings produce a full, rich, and warm tone. They are designed to balance and blend well with the lower strings on the instrument. Conceived with the professional performer in mind, they stand up well to extreme bow pressure, and provide a strong, projecting soloistic quality without being overly bright. Kaplan Solutions cello strings are scaled to fit a 4/4 size instrument with a playing length of 27 1/2 inches (700mm). Heavy tension strings allow for greater projection and volume potential, while light tension strings allow for easier bow response. Medium tension strings are optimized to the needs of a majority of players.
