The Melodious Etudes for Clarinet are based on the vocalises of Marco Bordogni. These vocalises are considered to be some of the most musically appealing in the vocal repertoire. Brass players are already familiar with these etudes through their use as a staple in the study repertoire of the trombone. It is often referred to as the "Rochut book". This compilation of fifty-four etudes is taken from the best of the Bordogni vocalises.
