The music book "Echoes" by pianist and composer Dirk Maassen is inspired by encounters with his fans and contains all the pieces from his successful album of the same name. Echoes is about the power of music to express feelings and to connect people with it across spatial and temporal boundaries.

Dirk Maassen has been keeping a musical diary for a long time. In it, he writes down particularly memorable experiences in melodies. Many encounters with his fans have particularly touched him and inspired him to think about music as a means of communication.
