Description
Vladimir Cosma was born April 13, 1940 in Bucharest in Romania, in a musical family. His father, Teodor Cosma is pianist and conductor, his mother songwriter, his uncle, Edgar Cosma composer and orchestra leader and one of his grandmothers, pianist, student of the famous Ferruccio Busoni. After the first prize for violin and composition at the National Conservatory in Bucharest, he arrived in Paris in 1963 and continued his studies at the Conservatoire National de Paris with Nadia Boulanger. In addition to music called "classical", he developed a passion for early jazz, film music and all forms of popular music.
