25 Etudes Melodiques, Op.60
Description
The first and foremost edition of these ever popular studies, which are to be found in almost every syllabus where the guitar is taught. Selected by the Examination Board of the Royal Schools of Music London 2009. This new expanded and revised edition is the only publication to reconcile the early sources of these Etudes with present day playing techniques. Several earlier editions from the 19th and 20th centuries were consulted for its preparation. The main music text is beautifully engraved with a clear and uncluttered presentation of the Etudes. This edition contains a useful section on 'Playing the Etudes' with over 50 music examples, showing alternative fingerings etc. A detailed Critical Commentary as well as historical archive material completes this new version of our highly popular 1985 edition. Highly recommended as it will meet the needs of all at whatever level.
An alternative version including a CD by the German guitarist Irina Kircher is available at a very reasonably price (order no ECH470BCD)
