In this film Simon guides two violinists through each exercise in the Warming up book - one a younger student and the other a post-graduate. Every exercise is covered in detail, starting at the beginning of the book and finishing at the end.

Using the exercises as jumping-off points, Simon goes well beyond them so that the different segments of the film become self-contained lessons on their own - on tone production (quite different from the Secrets of Tone Production DVD), intonation, vibrato and all the rest.
