Itsy Witsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polkadot Bikini has topped the charts repeatedly over the decades since it first appeared in 1960. Brian Hyland was just 16 years old when he made the first recording, hitting number one in the US charts, ‘which meant I could stop riding on the subway and buy some Martin Guitars.' In 1990 Timmy Mallet, the children's entertainer, once more took the song up with charts with a cover version released under the name of Bombalurina. The cheery melody, chirpy rhythm and catchy title are undimmed by the decades.
