Description

At night The Big Friendly Giant catches dreams and nightmares in jars. Playing on his ´big trumpet´, he gives the beautiful dreams back to the sleeping children and he keeps the nightmares with him.

The compositian ´The legend of a big friendly giant´ is all about this ´big trumpet´, in this case the euphonium. The euphonium doesn´t need special effects. All his lyrical and technical capacities are used in function of creating beautiful musical dreams. As in a classical concerto, the soloist combats with the orchestra. At first they are playing alternately, afterwords they play fraternal together.
