Description
Gian Paolo Luppi graduated in piano, choral music,
instrumentation for wind ensemble, composition and conducting at
the Conservatory "G.B. Martini" in Bologna. His composition
teachers were Biancamaria Furgeri, Bruno Bettinelli, Franco
Donatoni and Alessandro Solbiati. He also attended courses with
Franco Donatoni at Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and
Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
He has been awarded many prizes in national and international
composition competitions. Several of his works were performed on
Italian, Spanish, Vatican, Rumanian, Belgian and Swedish radios,
and in many important festivals in Italy, France, Spain, Germany,
Greece, Romania, Sweden, Belgium, Libia and Australia as well.
