Description
The 12 concerti grossi published in 1744 by the English composer and organist Charles Avison are arrangements made from harpsichord sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti. It is interesting to observe how Avison transformed these solo harpsichord pieces into orchestral works for 7 string voices. This new publication by edition offenburg consists of a newly set score and part books in facsimile.
