Description
Antonin Dvorak wrote string quartet settings of two works from his cycle of piano waltzes, Op. 54 (No. 1 in A major and No. 4 in D flat major), and he transposed the second waltz into the key of D major to facilitate performance. The arrangement for this particular group of instruments was published after his death, along with a doublebass part ad libitum so that the work could be performed by a string orchestra. This title is part of the first Complete Critical Edition of Works by Antonin Dvorak.
