Pentagone-Parallèle
Description
Parallele is the central movement of Leclercq's Pentagone. With this movement he has changed the directions set by the previous two (playful, lively and aggressive) and has come up with an attractive and engaging piece with solemn overtones. Not having the final two movements in my possession il is difficuIt to know where this 'suite' Is heading for. But if this composer's stylish writing (as witnessed ln this movement and the first one) continues into 'movements' four and five then this complete work will be one worth listening out for. AlI three movements have had dedications on them and curiously enough this quite mournful one, composed a few years before his death, is dedicated to Chris Kilvington.
