Description
This work for choir and soloists is about 100 minutes long and contains fragments of a requiem mass for Rossini which Verdi never completed. The Requiem is the last great work composed by Verdi before his last two operas Othello and Falstaff. Only the other great traditional requiem mass, that of W.A. Mozart, has reached comparable international recognition.
