More and more children and young people are taking up the double bass, the largest member of the string family. Double bass players are always in demand and welcome in any orchestra. There are musically rewarding parts for the instrument in chamber music, too - but not many solo opportunities.

Hermann Regner composed these twelve easy pieces for double bass and piano as an addition to the solo repertoire for aspiring young bass players.
