Het lied Bist du bei mir (BWV 508) werd gecomponeerd door Johann Sebastian Bach voor zijn tweede vrouw, Anna Magdalena, met wie hij trouwde in 1721. De ongekende populariteit van dit lied is waarschijnlijk te danken aan de schitterende, gevoelige melodie. Thomas Müller schreef dit prachtige arrangement, dat geschikt is voor vele gelegenheden, voor een vierstemmige, variabele bezetting.
