FLAMENCO AL PIANO 5 - SIGUIRIYA
Flamenco for Piano is a method designed for teaching pianists how
to play flamenco. In this treatise, pianists, composers, scholars
and musicians in general will find a detailed study of the rhythm,
harmony, melody and formal structures of each of the flamenco
styles and their practical application to the piano. This is a
completely new kind of teaching material that includes scores for
learning and playing traditional flamenco plus resources for
improvisation, composition and fusion of styles. This collection,
Flamenco al Piano, closes with this volume dedicated to the
Seguiriya, the deepest and most sorrowful flamenco song form. The
Seguiriya's rhythm and time signature are a paradigm for the
flamenco aesthetic and the Seguiriya continues to be interpreted
frequently by flamenco artists.
