EKSTASE gaat over een geesteszieke patiënt die compleet is afgesloten van de buitenwereld. Zijn toestand verergert en door zijn medicijngebruik vervaagt de grens tussen de werkelijkheid en zijn hallucinaties steeds verder. Op een dag ontdekt de patiënt een oude piano en begint hij Mozart te spelen, waardoor hijzelf opbloeit en ook de patiënten om hem heen weer het gevoel krijgen dat ze leven. Een bijzonder innovatief en virtuoos nieuw werk van Thomas Doss.
