Die vorliegende Sammlung mit 14 kanonischen Warm-up-Songs für Schulchor und Klasse bietet eine klangvolle musikalische Weltreise: Australien, Asien, Afrika, Amerika.
Die in verschiedenen Kulturkreisen wurzelnden Kanons können ein- oder mehrstimmig gesungen und mit den musikalischen Patterns vielfältig begleitet werden. In dieser Weise eröffnen sich leicht nachvollziehbare Wege und Einblicke in charakteristische Klangwelten unterschiedlicher Kulturen.
Auswahl und Aufbereitung der Stücke sind gezielt auf die Verwendung in der musik- und chorpädagogischen Praxis abgestimmt: Körper- und Stimmerfahrung, Rhythmuserlebnis, Stimmbildung, Hörerziehung, Bewegungsgestaltung u. a. m. Zu jedem Stück werden diesbezüglich Anregungen, Tipps und konkrete Übungen angeboten.
